The Matterhorn from Findelin

The famous Matterhorn inspired by Contencin who painted at a time before the huts in the foreground became desirable alpine restaurants for skiers and hikers alike. 

The original features wide use of impasto, particularly on the snowfields and peak itself alongside the huts. Prints retain this sense of texture and the dynamic sky offsetting the brightness of the snow.
